Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-05-23

By using ExamGoat (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

What we provide

An AQA Psychology revision tool: study flashcards, quizzes, multiple-choice questions, essay practice with self-marking, mock papers, and (optionally) AI-generated feedback on your answers using Anthropic's Claude. The Service is a study aid; it is not a substitute for teaching, tutoring or official AQA materials, and using it does not guarantee any particular exam outcome or grade.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has approved your use of the Service and any purchases.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for activity that happens under your account. We use Clerk for authentication; please don't share your account with others.

Fair use of AI marking

AI marking is provided free up to a per-account allowance (currently 3 lifetime marks). Paid plans for unlimited AI marking are planned (around £3.99/month for the unlimited subscription, or £2.99 one-off for a 14-day exam pack). We may rate-limit or temporarily suspend access to AI marking if we detect unusual or abusive usage that puts the Service at risk.

Payments and refunds

When paid plans launch:

Acceptable use

You agree not to: (i) attempt to bypass the AI-marking quota or other technical restrictions; (ii) scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of the question bank or model answers; (iii) use the Service to harass others, submit illegal content, or do anything that breaks UK law; (iv) attempt to compromise the security of the Service or its hosting infrastructure.

Intellectual property

Questions, model answers, mark schemes and other content are written by the Service author (or generated with AI assistance and reviewed). They are provided for personal revision use only and may not be redistributed. AI feedback on your own work is yours to keep and use as you wish.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI marks will match official AQA marking. Always cross-check with your teacher and the official AQA mark scheme. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. exam results you attribute to use of the Service).

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the account page. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, in which case we'll explain why and (where reasonable) give you a chance to fix the issue first.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we'll surface a notice on the home page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be heard in the courts of England and Wales unless mandatory consumer rules say otherwise.
